Terms of Use
Last updated · September 18, 2026
These terms cover your use of BrewPing and of this website. They are intentionally short and plain. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.

What the software is for
BrewPing is a personal developer tool. It lets you monitor and drive AI coding agents that are already installed and running on a computer you control, from your iPhone, Apple Watch or another device on the same local network.
BrewPing is not an AI model, not a hosting service and not a remote-access product for machines you do not own. It sends your instructions to a computer you configured and shows you what comes back.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for what you send. Commands you submit are executed on your own computer with your own privileges, and they can modify or delete files in the working directory you chose.
- Only point BrewPing at computers you own or are authorised to administer
- Keep your pairing code private — anyone who has it on your network can submit commands
- Use the approval mode appropriate to the risk; the app offers safe, ask-all and auto modes, and the safest default is not the most permissive one
- You are responsible for complying with the terms of any AI coding agent and any model provider you connect
Provided as is
BrewPing is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
You use it at your own risk. Keep backups of anything you care about before pointing an autonomous agent at it.
Open source components and third-party software
BrewPing is developed in the open, and its source is published on GitHub under the licence stated in that repository.
BrewPing is designed to work alongside third-party coding agents such as OpenCode, Claude Code, Codex CLI and pi. Those are separate products, developed and licensed by their own authors. We do not distribute them, and we are not responsible for their behaviour, their output, or their terms.
Agent product names are used only to indicate compatibility. BrewPing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the makers of those products.
Service continuity and compatibility
BrewPing has no always-on service for us to interrupt: it runs on hardware you own and communicates over your own network. That also means it depends on things we do not control — your network, your operating system, and the third-party agents you use.
Concretely: BrewPing works on a local network today. There is no relay server in operation, so it does not work across the internet unless you set up your own networking. Features, supported agents and platform availability can change between releases, and an agent you rely on may change or stop working independently of us.
The iOS app is a one-time purchase on the App Store and is not offered on the App Store in mainland China. Availability, pricing, purchases and refunds for the iOS app are handled by Apple under Apple's own terms.
Intellectual property
The BrewPing and Commit Brew names, logo and the code we write are ours, subject to the open source licence under which the code is published.
Your code, your prompts and the output produced by your agents remain yours. BrewPing does not claim any rights over them and does not receive them.
